As a mom of littles and co-managing homeschool, a farm, a business, and my own ongoing healing process, I like bundling remedies together so I have less to remember! And yesterday I had the a-ha moment to combine elderberry syrup and kombucha!
Probiotic immune-boosting heart-strengthening stress-balancing goodness, only sparkling and in a bottle? Yes, please! (Oh wait I’m not supposed to say those things. I mean… historically speaking of course ahem ahem).
As I was straining and bottling this week’s kombucha, I had a batch of elderberry syrup that we kept forgetting to use but needed to finish soon for best potency.
So I added some elderberry syrup into each grolsch bottle of “booch” and let them ferment overnight. We had a little at breakfast, and it was already under enough pressure that I put them all in the refrigerator.
It was a yummy treat we could take sips of throughout the day (even though everyone wanted more - gotta make it last!!).
This kombucha was made with our Nourish blend, and the elderberry syrup was of course the blend we offer here. PSSST and both blend are on sale right now for mix and match tea and chai Buy 3 Get 1 50% off!
Would you try it?
