Healthy Flavoring for New Tea Drinkers

Tea is a beloved beverage enjoyed by millions around the world. Its subtle flavors and soothing properties make it a perfect choice for relaxation and refreshment. However, for those who are new to the world of tea, the taste can sometimes be an acquired one. If you're looking to enhance the flavors of your tea and make it more appealing to your palate, we've got you covered. In this blog post, we'll explore some healthy add-ins for tea and even share a delightful recipe for a healthy chocolate milk using tea as a base.

Why Flavor Tea?

Flavoring tea can be a great way to introduce yourself to the world of tea if you're not accustomed to its subtle tastes. By adding healthy and delicious ingredients, you can enhance the flavors and create a more enjoyable tea-drinking experience.

Healthy Add-Ins for Tea

1. Citrus Fruits: Squeeze a slice of lemon, lime, or orange into your tea for a burst of tangy flavor. Citrus fruits not only add a refreshing taste but also provide a boost of vitamin C.

2. Fresh Herbs: Add a sprig of fresh mint, basil, or lavender to your tea for a delightful herbal twist. These herbs not only infuse the tea with their unique flavors but also offer various health benefits.

3. Spices: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon, cardamom, or ginger into your tea to add warmth and depth of flavor. These spices not only taste fantastic but also have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

4. Honey, Maple Syrup, or Agave Syrup: If you prefer a touch of sweetness in your tea, opt for natural sweeteners like raw honey, real maple syrup, or agave syrup. They add a subtle sweetness without overpowering the tea's delicate flavors - among minerals and other nutritional benefits.

5. Nut milk: this is a great way to cool down a tea when you're ready to drink it but it's still too hot for your tongue! The fat in the nut milk may help with some nutrient absorption and make a more filling and creamy tea.
